Covering approximately 5 hectares of land, the proposed Macedon BESS Project is a utility-scale energy storage project with a proposed installed capacity of approximately 100 megawatts (MW), and 400 megawatt-hour (MWh) energy storage.
Macedon BESS Project is located approximately 3.5 km south of Macedon township, and about 60 km north-west of Melbourne, Victoria state’s capital.
A community investment program will be launched to allocate funding for local community initiatives. This complements the various economic opportunities created both directly and indirectly through the project’s development.
